Davenports West is one of the oldest law firms in West Auckland.  Its roots go back to 1920 when a young graduate from Auckland University, the late Percy Spurdle set up his plate and commenced practice on his own account.  In 1947 he was joined in partnership by Bob Davenport who had begun his own practise in 1930.  The firm grew to cater for the growing needs of their clients and the Henderson office was opened in 1968.

Now known as Davenports West, the firm moved into its current premises in 1986.

The current Partners Bernie Allen, Simon Bratley and Ethelinda Lim each have the qualifications and expertise to provide the best services in their field.  The Partners are supported very ably by Associates, Solicitors, Legal Executives and Administration staff.

Bernie Allen

Bernie Allen commenced practice in 1970 and continues to act on a wide variety of legal work with particular emphasis on asset planning, businesses and property. He has been involved with a number of local charitable and sporting organisations and has been a resident of Waitakere City all his life.
